In this mini-documentary, the
production team visited the Halpern Education Center, a day treatment
service offered by Hillside Children's Center, Rochester NY. The staff
had adopted Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) during the
2002-2003 school year. The program was built around the principles of
respecting self, respecting others, and respecting the environment. At
the end of the school year, these youth reflected on what the experience
had taught them. To maintain the children's privacy, only audio was
recorded. Animation is used to enhance the listening experience. Producer. Maria Cristalli Recordist, Sound editing and Animation. Susan Price Music.
