DISPATCHED FROM THE CROSSROADS, AT THE INTERSECTION OF yesterday & tomorrow
Saturday, 11.11.06: Week In Review
A giddy week on Planet Susan.
Election. Yayyyy! America took back the government! We really do know how to throw the bums out. I took full advantage of the gloating opportunity. Delightful watching the rats jump from the sinking ship — I hear even Rush Limbaugh turned on the Republicans. (I hope all the ditto-heads who get their talking points from him feel like idiots.)
Drawing. Spent most of my drawing time composing one comic-book type page, in pencil, no computer assistance. We're supposed to tell a story in 8 or so panels only. I used my "Pandora's Children" plot but condensed it down into "The Adventures of Maddie Malone, Strategy Geek." Ha-ha. I can see why people get into making comic books. The process is hypnotic. To the right is a peek — I'll share the "finished" version later.
Medical. Time for annual gyn visit and eye check. Everything looks good. My only complaint was my itchy inability to fall asleep, so the doctor prescribed Ambien. Wow, cool. Three nights so far of solid 8 hours.
Happy Veterans Day to my husband and a tip o' the hat to all who have put their personal lives on hold to serve our country.
Thumbs Up if you liked this entry.
