Are We There Yet?

And so it begins.

Yesterday the carpet got torn up — living room, 2 staircases, and the second floor landing up to the bedroom doors.

The crappy plywood is depressing. The parrot Hermanita is freaked out by the missing carpet.

Meanwhile, the "gods" have taken over the kitchen. They are happy because they received a dusting. It's nice to handle these old pieces and to appreciate them anew, but our quality living space is shrinking.

Onward...
