Going on Hiatus (to Newsletter Subscribers)

The new year provides an opportunity to assess and adjust how we want to spend our time.

As I completed the 20th annual review of my “art life,” I felt the weight of trying to be entertaining on a bi-weekly basis. I retired from my job twenty years ago. I turned 75 in November. Maybe I should consider retiring from twenty-five years as an essayist and author on Mad in Pursuit. Writing is good therapy. And it keeps me using my words. But entertaining? Where is that getting me?

So, I’m suspending my newsletter till the urge to entertain returns. A month? A year? Let’s see.
