- mandala
- A circular or concentric diagram that represents both a sacred space and the cosmos, in the Buddhist and Hindu traditions. The act of creating or actively engaging with a mandala is thought to improve one's access to deep consciousness and to become one with the cosmos.
- moment of being
- According to Virginia Woolf, individuals go about their lives cut off from reality. But at rare moments one receives a shock -- a token of something real behind everyday appearances. ("Moments of Being" by Virginia Woolf)
- yantra
- A visual aid or diagram full of symbolism that assists with meditation and helps clarify the mind. An example might be a mandala.
