Saturday, 6.3.06: Week In Review

Toronto launched me into a busy week.

Although I tried to keep up the inspiration momentum, Wednesday was filled with my consulting job in the morning and ear doctors in the afternoon.

Thurday I had a great late lunch-early dinner with an old friend, Lill. Another pal from the Eighties who I'd lost touch with. She's about my age, no kids, and took early retirement from the executive suite at Xerox. It was fun to catch up. I realize how many of my girlfriends are way younger than me — good in the long run, I guess — but sometimes it's nice to compare notes with someone in the same place.

Friday I went out on a tape sync for a radio producer in California. (She interviewed the guy on his cell phone, while I set up my shotgun mic and recorded him live.) Interesting story on Online Dating. His angle: while still tender after a divorce, he sign up for an online match. The first recommendation to him was... his ex-wife. My recording went well — always worth a big sigh of relief
