3.17.07: Week In Review
Quiet week on Planet Susan.
HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY.
False spring turned bitter cold again. This morning, 4-5 inches of snow.
Optometrist: eyes bothering me at the computer — turns out not to be my eyes but the the glasses (something screwed up about the bifocal measurements) — he's replacing them, no charge. Also had a cut & color and our 6-month review with the financial advisor. Pretty exciting.
Bought a present for myself today: a Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Elph. It's definitely an upgrade from my S100 Elph, but the same petite size. I get tempted by fancy SLR cameras, but I know myself: if it's bulky I won't carry it. And as I went through old fishing photos this week, I was kicking myself for not taking more pictures. Getting it mail-order, so it will arrive next week. I love a toy.
Projects: concentrated on writing and fishing. Downloaded an audio version of "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac for inspiration on loosening up my prose. I think most Baby Boomers read Kerouac in the Sixties — but sometimes I'm slow to catch up on things.
Thumbs Up if you liked this entry.
